We Did It, Together! Our First Retreat

When we first dreamed of creating a sacred space for postpartum rest, we imagined women gathering in community, feeling seen, supported, and whole again. This September, that dream became reality.

Our very first retreat was everything we hoped it would be and more. In just one transformative day, we came together to breathe, reconnect, and remember who we are beneath the roles and routines of care. The day began with gentle yoga and grounding. With each stretch and breath, participants settled into the space, reconnecting with their bodies and setting an intention for a day of care and restoration.

The air buzzed with laughter and release. Tears flowed freely during moments of truth-telling. Strangers became sisters, finding comfort in shared experiences that words could barely hold.

The Workshops That Moved Us

Dr. Tori reminded everyone that healing begins from the ground up, literally! Through gentle guidance, she helped participants reconnect with the strength and wisdom of their pelvic floor. Her session went beyond a lecture and moved right into hands on examples! She invited everyone to reclaim their power, confidence, and embodiment.

Our moment of mindfulness with Elena of Awaken Mental Health Collective held space for honest, vulnerable conversations about postpartum emotions, the quiet grief, the shifting identity, and the courage it takes to ask for help. Elena guided us through meditation and self-compassion practices that reminded each person they are not alone and that healing the mind is just as vital as healing the body.

A Community Rooted in Care

Participants indulged in facials that nurtured the skin and soothed the spirit. Mealtimes became sacred moments as we ate in community, sharing food, stories, and laughter. These moments reminded everyone how restorative it can be to simply gather and nourish ourselves together. By the end of the retreat, something sacred had shifted. People stood taller. Shoulders softened. Smiles lingered longer. It was not just rest, it was remembrance.

The day concluded with sweet treats and gift bags, a final moment of indulgence and celebration, sending each participant home with tangible reminders of care, community, and connection.

Legacy was born from the belief that every mother deserves rest, healing, and care that honors her full humanity. Seeing that belief come alive through yoga, workshops, laughter, and connection was the most powerful reminder of why this work matters. We left the day with full hearts and a renewed commitment to make postpartum healing accessible, inclusive, and deeply rooted in love.

To every participant, partner, and supporter, thank you. You helped us turn vision into legacy.
